MBA student Gde Brawishwara Putra comes from the island of Bali, Indonesia. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in geodesy and geomatics engineering in 2011 and now serves as the vice president of Bhuwana Property, a family real estate brokerage and development business in Bali.

Gde is also director of Maharishi Bhuwana Bali Shanti Foundation, an organization he founded with his parents to help teach the Transcendental Meditation technique in Bali, spread Consciousness-Based education, and introduce Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture.

Gde completed a course on Maharishi Vedic Architecture last year and has been involved in locating suitable land in Bali for the construction of a Maharishi Vastu development. He and his father have also been invited to a talk show on Bali TV to discuss the Transcendental Meditation program and Maharishi’s knowledge.

Gde has always wanted to study in the United States and was happy to discover that Maharishi University of Management offers an MBA degree in sustainable business. He feels this is the right education he needs to create a business that aims not only to maximize profit, but to care for the people and the environment.

“Everyone is super friendly and I feel at home here,” said Gde. “People are supportive, and the faculty is very helpful; they are happy people. One thing I cannot find anywhere else is the Golden Dome. I am a Sidha, and there has never been a place like the Golden Dome where I can feel the deepest bliss.”

“Make no mistake, we get as much from Gde as he gets from us,” said Tom Palladino, MUM faculty member. “He is fun to be around, has a lot to share, and projects positive energy. Also, he has an insatiable desire to learn.”

After graduating, Gde plans to work in sustainable business and Lean management and return to Indonesia to work with his foundation to spread Maharishi’s Vedic knowledge.
