Maharishi School students' photos to be exhibited around the world

Three Maharishi School student photographs will be featured in the Photo Imaging Educational Association (PIEA) exhibit at the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center, Fairfield, Iowa, USA, and later in other countires.

Eighth-grade students Michael Corazza and Avanish Kuntla received an honorable mention for their work in this exhibit. Sebastian Lacasse received an exhibitor award. These students were taught photography by Greg Thatcher.

The photos are being shown at 54 venues in Australia, Canada, South Africa, the U.K., and the U.S. The exhibit that will be shown in Fairfield is composed of 68 images that were chosen from over 6,060 entries from 114 schools in ten countries: Australia, Canada, China, Costa Rica, Guatemala, India, Iran, South Africa, the U.K., and the U.S.

"It's a great honor for our students to be chosen by the PIEA, and to have their work travel around the world for three years," Mr. Thatcher said.

The exhibit can be viewed during the Arts & Convention Center business hours March 1-12.
