The Students Transcendental Meditation Association (STMA) has just been launched, and is a growing network of conscious, like-minded fellow thought leaders, change agents, and trendsetters on college campuses nationwide.

The STMA not only provides Transcendental Meditation and Yoga Asana instruction on college campuses through campus STMA Clubs, but also provides extensive personal follow-up, evening knowledge meetings, retreats, social events, educational seminars, visits from renowned guest speakers, artists and musicians who practice the Transcendental Meditation program, and more.

The clubs will be a resource on campus for information about the David Lynch Foundation internship opportunities that offer practical training in progressive, integrative career paths in the US and abroad. STMA members will receive leadership training, networking skills, and other practical tools students need to transform the world.

As a result, STMA members will graduate from college life prepared to step into their role as a thought leader in this changing world, with the confidence that despite the economy or the confusing aspects of transitioning into life after college, they can take on anything and not only succeed, but fully enjoy every moment thanks to the inner strength they have gained by developing their consciousness.

Grassroots, progressive movements have always begun and have thrived in a college environment. The youth bring freshness, new perspectives, new technology, enthusiasm, creativity, energy.

Leaders of the organization said it is really exciting to see students taking ownership of this Students Transcendental Meditation Association campus initiative and offering their skills with so much enthusiasm. For example, the first presentations through the newly launched STMA have been scheduled at Boston College and Brandeis University for the beginning of November, and were completely organized by a student meditator from Brandeis.

Hundreds of college students have been rapidly joining the David Lynch Foundation’s Student Affiliate program, which gives artistic students an outlet for their creativity and a chance to celebrate consciousness, creativity and bliss.

At one California university a student leader not only started a Transcendental Meditation Club, but also procured $4,000 to fund events and promotion for this year.

Leaders of the organization recently commented that every day they hear from more and more students, teachers, and parents who practise Transcendental Meditation and want to help STMA clubs at more colleges around the country. ‘Our vision is gradually becoming a reality!’ they said.

If you would like to be part of this initiative, the Students Transcendental Meditation Association is available to support your efforts in every way.  The Association’s contact information: studentmeditation@gmail.com
