When one experiences the field of bliss within, then all aspects of life reflect that joy.

Overcoming the boredom of routine work

Nearly everyone has moments when they are faced with routine work. Whether a student, business entrepreneur, doctor, basketball player, teacher, parent, or secretary; whether tackling the evening’s math homework, mowing the lawn, crawling along at a mile an hour in a traffic jam, loading the dishwasher, or doing the weekend chores, just about everyone encounters moments that have no charm or fascination; that is, unless one knows how to tap the unbounded field of inner happiness and creativity within.

The practice of Maharishi’s Transcendental Meditation Technique offers the ability to transform any moment into a moment of inner bliss and creativity. Maharishi’s Transcendental Meditation Technique allows one to turn one’s attention within and experience the silent field of infinite creativity and bliss at the basis of the mind. Practised twice a day for fifteen or twenty minutes, this simple mental technique brings inner joy and creativity into the daily flow of every-day life.

In simple terms, through the practice of Maharishi’s Transcendental Meditation Technique, one knows one’s Self. The word Self is written with a big “S” because it is big—the unbounded, Unified Field of Consciousness at the source of thought, the Self of everyone.

When one practises Maharishi’s Transcendental Meditation, one connects to the most basic part of who one is: an infinite field of consciousness, or wakefulness, and inner fulfilment. Knowing this unbounded aspect of one’s Self, after meditation the boundaries of every-day life cease to be tedious and boring.

Established in one’s own unbounded field of inner happiness and wakeful creative intelligence, wherever one puts one’s attention, whether brushing one’s teeth, writing a term paper, preparing one’s taxes, or cooking and cleaning up, everything is infused with unbounded bliss consciousness. Suddenly, every moment is a field of all possibilities—inner happiness surfaces into the mundane moments of life and magical surprises and coincidences seem to frequently wait around the corner.

Nothing much needs to change on the outside, but inside one is different. No matter what one is doing or what challenges one is facing, one is always connected to one’s own inner source of joy and creative solutions. A student, Rebecca Busch, writes: 'TM gives me clarity which enhances my academics and elevates my experience of life. I come out of meditation filled with happiness.'

For countless ages, no such technique was readily available for accessing one’s inner field of happiness and creativity at will. Now, Maharishi’s Transcendental Meditation Technique has been learnt by over four million people and is taught in every country of the world.
