by Global Good News staff writer 19 November 2007 Around the globe, students are bringing invincibility to their nations and the world by practising Maharishi’s Transcendental Meditation Technique and an advanced programme, the TM-Sidhi Programme, including Yogic Flying. The formula for bringing invincibility to each nation is to have a coherence-creating group—a large enough group practising these technologies in order to enliven peace, harmony, and order in national consciousness. The required size of the group depends on the size of the total population of each country. The number needed to fulfil the requirement for national invincibility is called the ‘super-radiance number’ and is determined according to the scientific formula of the square root of one per cent of the population. Just as a few lampposts keep a city lit, and as a few cells in the heart, known as the pacemaker cells, regulate the healthy beating of the heart, likewise, a small percentage of the population can enliven progress and invincibility for the whole nation. This positive effect is known as the Maharishi Effect, named after the founder of the Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi Programme, His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Schools, colleges, and universities provide an ideal environment for creating invincibility because students can practise Maharishi’s Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi Programme together as part of their school routine. The addition of Transcendental Meditation to the school curriculum is known as Consciousness-Based Education—education that emphasizes developing the full potential of the student’s consciousness as the basis for learning specific information. The results are impressive, both for the students and for their nation. Students practising Maharishi’s Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi Programme become lighthouses of peace and bring invincibility to their country. These students ensure their country’s unrestricted progress, while also enjoying, for themselves, increased inner happiness, improved academic performance, and success in their activities and personal relationships. As a result, more and more countries are finding ways for students to learn Transcendental Meditation and enliven peace and an invincible protection for the nation. Growing Invincibility in Latin America In Latin America there are now 35 schools and 12 universities that offer Consciousness-Based Education to their students. Groups of students in these schools and universities have achieved the super-radiance number, bringing invincibility for Trinidad and Tobago, Colombia, Bolivia, and Peru, with Chile, Brazil, Mexico, Panama, and El Salvador soon to follow. Growing Invincibility in North America In the United States, there is already a large invincibility group formed at Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa and the adjacent Maharishi Vedic City, Iowa. This Invincible America Assembly includes the Yogic Flying students of the university, as well as many other Yogic Fliers, forming a group of about 1730, the super-radiance number of the United States. In addition, there are a number of private schools and charter schools across the country that have adopted Consciousness-Based Education. In Maine, a school for Native Americans has adopted Consciousness-Based Education. In Kansas, Maharishi Central University is being built in the centre of the country. Growing Invincibility in Europe Likewise, in Europe, schools are incorporating Consciousness-Based Education into their curriculum. The Netherlands achieved its invincibility number on April 12, 2006 with 400 Yogic Fliers. In Macedonia, land has been purchased and building plans made for the Maharishi Central University in Europe. A number of countries have concrete plans for creating a University of Invincibility and, in many, the groundbreaking ceremonies have already occurred. A large number of these ceremonies have occurred recently, spurred by an ongoing tour by Dr David Lynch, renowned filmmaker and long-term enthusiast of Maharishi’s Transcendental Meditation Technique. Also, Dr Lynch received a warm welcome from the Prime Minister and prominent citizens of Israel, who have indicated sincere interest in starting Consciousness-Based schools and universities. European countries rising to establish Invincibility Universities include Belgium, Finland, Denmark, Ireland, Scotland, France, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Estonia, and Turkey. Growing Invincibility in Australia In Sidney, Australia, plans for an Invincibility School are also underway. In Melbourne, more and more students are enrolling in their Invincibility School. Next year the school will expand to include high school, where the students can learn the TM-Sidhi Programme, including Yogic Flying and help create invincibility for their country. In Adelaide, a Maharishi Invincibility School for girls will be built on a beautiful property near town, opening its first classes in February 2009. In an Aboriginal city, officials responded enthusiastically to a briefing on Consciousness-Based Education and Yogic Flying by Dr Ashley Deans, director of Maharishi School of the Age of Enlightenment in Fairfield, Iowa, USA. The mayor of an Aboriginal city gave his '110 per cent support' and another such leader said that until hearing this knowledge he felt his people had only one generation left. 'Now,' he said, 'I have hope!' One delegate from the civil rights arm of the government responsible for the indigenous people set up a meeting with government leaders who are, Dr Deans emphasizes, 'absolutely desperate for a solution to their problems'. In a later meeting in the Outback with the people themselves, the area's Elder sat silent throughout the meeting. At the end she said, 'This is something we want. We should have this in our school of 200, and we should put it in our correction centre.' The correction centre currently houses 50 boys. Thinking with the group of how to create groups of Yogic Flyers, she added, 'This is what our culture used to do.' Noting that only 450 Yogic Flyers are needed to bring invincibility to Australia, Dr Deans concluded, 'It may be that the Aboriginal people will be what brings Australia to invincibility.' Plans for Invincibility Schools and Universities are also underway in Asia and Africa.
