Dr Alarik Arenander, Director of the Brain Research Institute at Maharishi University of Management, and his wife, Dr Cynthia Arenander, were greatly inspired during their recent six-week tour of India. After making many presentations to Indian scientists, educators, students, businessmen and others on Maharishi's Vedic Science, including Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation Programme and total brain development, they enthusiastically expressed their feeling that India is the 'key' to creating coherence in the collective consciousness of the world through Maharishi's programmes.
Drs Arenander have made a deep commitment to making this happen saying, 'We have made our goal: 100,000 Indian students to learn Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation.'
Already, Drs Alarik and Cynthia Arenander are reporting great strides in fulfilling this aspiration. An Indian public school of over 1000 faculty, students, and staff confirmed on 19 November that everyone at the school will be instructed in Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation at the beginning of December.
Drs Arenander have also announced that another school of 500 students and 30 faculty, from lower income Indian families, has been funded so that the entire school can learn Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation. They were happy to share that an anonymous fundraiser generated $2500 for this purpose adding that the handful of donors involved found it satisfying to know that a donation of $100-$250 could provide 50 or more Indian students instruction in Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation.
The Arenanders will continue to provide updates on their successes in fulfilling Maharishi's desire to raise India to its full dignity as Veda Bhumi Bharat, Land of the Ved, a brilliant, shining star for the whole world.
