Speaking in Seelisberg, Switzerland on 29 August 1980, Maharishi said that by owning the structure of pure knowledge in our awareness we enliven the total potential of Natural Law that is organizing the enormous activity of the universe.

Owning the home of all the Laws of Nature and operating from that level through the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme, we create a great influence of coherence in the whole environment.

Maharishi International University, now known as Maharishi University of Management, and Maharishi European Research University (MERU), established then in Switzerland, 'have brought higher education to its supreme fulfilment by unfolding in the individual the total potential of Cosmic Intelligence—that intelligence which governs all the activity of the universe,' Maharishi said.

The purpose of education is to create enlightened individuals, who have the ability to function spontaneously according to Natural Law and who therefore do not make mistakes or create the ground for suffering.

According to Information Theory, knowledge has organizing power. 'In opening our awareness to the structure of pure knowledge we begin to own the totality of the organizing power of Natural Law,' Maharishi said.

'Our theme is higher education for higher consciousness, higher consciousness to develop all possibilities in life. Everything should be possible for an educated man.

'Different structures of knowledge exist on the different levels of senses, mind, intellect, individual self, and Cosmic Self. Knowledge at every level is true on its own level, but the structure of knowledge on the level of the Cosmic Self is the ultimate, absolute structure of knowledge.'

Vedic Science is the complete science of life, which enlivens the total range of life, from the atom to the whole universe. Vedic Science opens one's awareness to the totality of knowledge—the totality of organizing power. Then all one's thoughts and action is in accordance with the organizing power of Nature, the total potential of Natural Law.

'Veda, the unified wholeness of knowledge, is eternal,' Maharishi continued, 'but due to stress in world consciousness its holistic value was not open to human awareness. This is why only fragmented knowledge has been available, and fragmented knowledge can never satisfy the infinite potential of human awareness. This is the seed of all frustration in life.'

Through the practice of the Transcendental Meditation and Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme, negative tendencies are being neutralized and the age of ignorance is becoming the Age of Enlightenment, Heaven on Earth. In the Age of Enlightenment it will be possible for every individual to own the structure of pure knowledge in its totality. Every man will be a master of Natural Law.

Maharishi explained that there are seven states of consciousness and complete knowledge of all these levels of reality is contained in Vedic Science. 'This is why Vedic Science is the most comprehensive science of life,' he said.

Maharishi International University [now Maharishi University of Management] presents the knowledge of all disciplines along with the holistic value of intelligence, the basis of all branches of knowledge. This system of education unfolds not only objective knowledge but also the full knowledge of the subject—the knower.

'An ideal society will be created when every individual has the ability to fulfil his desires and at the same time fulfil the interests of society. The whole knowledge of life should belong to every man so that he enjoys all possibilities in life.'
