Presented in his book Maharishi Speaks to Educators: Mastery over Natural Law, this talk was given to leaders in the field of education in Hyderabad, Andra Pradesh, India, on 22 July 1978.

Maharishi began by quoting a verse from the Vedic Literature: 'The society of man speaks Turiya—the speech of Turiya is transcendental speech, the source of all speech.'

'In the Transcendental Meditation Technique thought becomes finer and finer,' Maharishi said. 'The excitations of consciousness settle down to the state of Samadhi, Turiya, Transcendental Consciousness.

'Transcendental speech is the perfection of the human speech: it is integrated speech, in which the source of speech is contained in the expressions of speech.

'The infinitely silent source of speech reverberates within itself as Vedic speech, the eternal expression of Natural Law, the impulse of consciousness, at the basis of all creation.

'Transcendental speech is the language of Sidhas. A Sidha is one who thinks from the simplest form of awareness, the field of all possibilities, and thereby accomplishes anything by mere intention.'

Through Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation and Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme every individual can become a Sidha, able to function spontaneously according to Natural Law.

'In order for Turiya to become a living reality, it is only necessary to let the excitations of the mind settle down to the state of Samadhi and then to create impulses in that settled state of consciousness. Immediately the total value of the impulse becomes the nature of consciousness.

'The human nervous system is able to promote that level of consciousness which is active and silent at the same time,' Maharishi said. 'From this all-powerful level of thought and speech, the potential of action is infinite.'

The nature of Turiya is infinite creativity and bliss, Ananda. This level of Transcendental Consciousness, the basic level of Natural Law, is bliss consciousness.

'The whole manifest creation emerges from this unmanifest value, which the Vedic Literature describes as Ananda,' Maharishi continued. 'Human awareness has the ability to realize itself as the source of all creation—Brahm, the Totality.

'Active life must be supported by the basis of action—silence,' Maharishi said. 'This is expressed in the Bhagavad-Gita as "Yogasthah kuru karmani, "Established in silence, perform action." When action is based on Turiya, Transcendental Consciousness, it is supported by the field of all possibilities and is always successful.

'The secret of creativity revealed by the Bhagavad-Gita is "Prakritim swam avashtabhya visrijami punah punah", "Taking recourse to my own Nature, established in my Self, I create again and again." Creativity blossoms in its full value through the inward stroke of awareness.

'When one's awareness is open to the level of Turiya, also known as Ak-kshara—the unmanifest, eternal state of existence, Transcendental Consciousness—the home of all the Laws of Nature, then one is established in evenness of life. The ideal of evenness is the completely integrated state of awareness, which is infinitely silent and infinitely dynamic at the same time,' said Maharishi.

Through the Transcendental Meditation and Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme all thought, speech, and action becomes impulses of Ananda. By nature everyone wants to enjoy because the nature of life is bliss. 'During the practice of Transcendental Meditation, awareness opens to its own Nature, which is bliss consciousness,' Maharishi said.

Maharishi has revealed that Transcendental Meditation 'is based on the nature of life, which is to grow, to move towards more and more. During the practice of Transcendental Meditation the mind reaches the state of infinite, unbounded awareness, the field of all possibilities, which brings fulfilment to the nature of life.

'The knowledge of all possibilities in the field of consciousness is the knowledge of this generation. This knowledge, which is the timeless wisdom of the Veda, has now been unfolded by modern science, and this is the meeting point of Veda and science, East and West, in one breath of life.'
