In this talk* given in May 1982 in Seelisberg, Switzerland, Maharishi explained that the different languages in every country emerge from the different values of Natural Law lively in that land. Since change is natural to life—civilization, cultural values, and the different languages change with time.

'All the changing characteristics in the relative have their basis in the absolute, non-changing field of life,' Maharishi said. 'All the Laws of Nature are completely unified at their common basis and emerge from this non-changing field. As the Laws of Nature emerge, they start to gain individuality and reflect different values of Natural Law, which are expressed as different cultures and languages.

'The Natural Laws of the different lands spring from the universal value of Natural Law. On that ground we can locate the basic value of the Language of Nature, from where all the different languages emerge,' Maharishi said.

According to the Vedic Literature there are seven basis levels of the Language of Nature: classical seen classically, classical seen quantum-mechanically, quantum-mechanical seen classically, quantum-mechanical seen quantum-mechanically, the gap [or the Transcendent, the Unified Field of Natural Law] seen on its own level, the gap seen classically, and the gap seen quantum-mechanically.

'All the diversity of creation arises from these seven basic levels of the Language of Nature—the flow of wholeness within itself,' Maharishi said. 'This eternal collapse of wholeness within itself is the process of spontaneous sequential dynamical symmetry breaking [in modern physics].'

It is not possible to teach the individuals of any nation to live according to the Natural Law of their land. The only means to live spontaneously in accordance with the Laws of Nature is to enliven in one's conscious awareness the universal value of Natural Law. In this way one grows in both the universal and the specific national values of Natural Law.

'In order to enrich the life of every land it is only necessary to enliven the total potential of Natural Law,' Maharishi said. In this one stroke all the different cultures, traditions, and languages will blossom in their full value.

The universities and schools established by Maharishi around the world provide clear intellectual understanding of the total potential of Natural Law and its specific expressions. Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation and Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme is the practical technology to experience the full range of Natural Law.

'This integrated approach will provide knowledge and experience of the infinite creative potential of life to every man on earth,' Maharishi concluded.

* This talk is also presented in the book Maharishi Speaks to Educators: Mastery over Natural Law.

"The potential of every student is infinite. The time of student life should serve to unfold that infinite potential so that every individual becomes a vibrant centre of Total Knowledge."—Maharishi
