Titled "Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's Natural Law-Based Management: A Review of Theory and Research," the article by Dr Dennis Heaton is an overview of Maharishi's formula for achieving success in management.
"This article brings out Maharishi's emphasis on developing higher individual and collective consciousness," Dr. Heaton said. "This is a deeper
approach than other management approaches, which focus on the more superficial levels of action, thinking, or feeling. The main principle of Maharishi's theory of management is that action can be most powerful, most
effective, and most free from mistakes when the actor is established in the silence of transcendental consciousness."
Dr. Heaton presents empirical evidence supporting Maharishi's theory of Natural Law-Based Management from two streams of research: one correlating peak performance with transcendental experiences, and the second focusing on the effects of systematically cultivating transcendence in organizational settings through the Transcendental Meditation technique.
The article also reviews how the integration of silence with dynamic activity is expressed in Maharishi's books, including the Science of Being and Art of Living, and Maharishi's Absolute Theory of Government.
