The David Lynch Foundation also has an initiative to teach Transcendental Meditation (TM) to one million at risk kids.
The idea is to teach a million kids to meditate or have a quiet time in the morning is so the kids can reflect. ‘When you look inside, there is only goodness,’ a TM practioner said. He pointed out that we can have the experience of coming from our heart not just to do what everyone else is doing, but 'to do what everyone else needs—to actually become a great servant.’
When you operate from the stillness [experienced during practice of Transcendental Meditation], from the time of quiet, it gives you a strength, an inner strength. That allows you to use the disciplines you learn in school—math, science, and other things— in a way that will benefit yourself and others.
Our children are our future. They desperately need us to put meditation in their schools. The research is everywhere. The proof is everywhere.
The David Lynch Foundation is working now to put Transcendental Meditation in schools. Everyone's help and support is a great benefit to all. Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Donovan, Mike Love, Clint Eastwood and many others support the visionary work of the David Lynch Foundation.
The David Lynch Foundation is also bringing peace and stillness to homeless men in a project in Harlem, that introduces Transcendental Meditation (TM) into their daily rehabilitation programme.
