Four international students have enrolled while two more are continuing their studies at Maharishi University of Management (MUM) thanks to a new scholarship offered by Dr. Vernon Katz, MUM Trustee. The scholarship was inspired by the Board of Trustees to assist outstanding international students who are not eligible for U.S. federal financial aid.

Dr. Katz is Adjunct Professor of Maharishi Vedic Science and Philosophy at MUM and holds a Ph.D. from Oxford University, England. A specialist in Vedic Literature and Sanskrit, he worked with Maharishi on the translation of the Bhagavad-Gita.

“We are grateful to Dr. Katz for enriching our student body with the future leaders of Maharishi’s Movement,” said Brad Mylett, Dean of Admissions.

“These students are deeply committed to developing their full potential, enlightenment, by taking advantage of all that MUM has to offer. They are an inspiration to the entire student body, which is the goal of the scholarship.”

Five of the six students who received the scholarship practice the TM-Sidhi® program including Yogic Flying®. Students receiving the scholarship are Rubén Sánchez Yepes and Laura Martinez of Spain, Brooke Hadfield of Australia, Baris Türkkan of Turkey, and Minoli and Vinodthan Nayagar of South Africa.

“It is truly an honor to be a student at MUM, to grow and develop a deep understanding of Maharishi’s knowledge, and to unfold my inner creative self,” wrote Minoli Nayagar.

“With this degree I intend to do all in my power to help those that are needing, and are deserving of education based in consciousness, and all for the fulfillment of Maharishi’s vision of heaven on earth,” wrote Brooke Hadfield.

With help from scholarships like this one, many more students around the world who want to study at MUM can have the chance.
