Alex Cequea, a college student from Venezuela, found it much easier to complete school projects after learning the Transcendental Meditation Technique. ‘I [became] so much more efficient,’ he said. ‘My thinking became clearer. The way I did things was more to the point.’ As a benefit of greater efficiency, Alex found it took him less time to complete his academic work.
With Transcendental Meditation, Alex said, ‘Everything you do is more enhanced, and so practising TM and Yogic Flying (an advanced programme of the TM Technique) really brings out every aspect of life and makes it richer.’
Amine Kouider, a college student from Algeria, also attributes his happiness and love of learning to the practice of the Transcendental Meditation Technique. Amine says ‘I’ve been practising TM since I was 10 years old. I went to public school back home in Algeria. The teachers were always amazed about the way I wanted to learn things. . . . I was enjoying learning! You know, going to school was a wonderful thing for me. I didn’t understand the other kids who didn’t want to go to school.’
His friends back home would say, ‘Why are you so happy all the time!? What’s wrong with you?’ Amine laughed, ‘I’m just happy. I love life! TM brings that, totally. It’s the thing that makes you enjoy life, and love life, because you explore yourself. You see how great it is, and how peaceful it is, and how loving it is. . . .And you’re at home. So you go out and you’re happy because you’re at home all the time. At home within your self.’
