A Maharishi School student's artwork, "Tribute to Nana" was the Best of the Show at the art competition where students from 19 high schools presented their work.

Students from 19 high schools in southeast Iowa presented their art and participated in a workshop.
The entries from Maharishi School included Elysia Belilove winning Best of Show for her mixed media piece and Pavani Karr first place in photography.
Other students who took home awards included Derek Thatcher, Meghan Comey, Kennedy Stood, Dillon Evertson, Thomas Weiss, and Brendon Park.
"These students are the cream of the crop, and are the ones that will go into the arts to be an art teacher, college instructor, graphic design artist, or even start their own business," said Carol Keller-Hein, one of the event organizers.

Thowas Wiess - "Canadian" - ceramics - Honorable Mention
Brendon Park - "In the Sandbox" - sculpture - Honorable Mention
