This wonderful new book meets a growing need: a simple, easy-to-read introduction to Maharishi and every aspect of his science of consciousness. With its compelling narrative anyone will be able to understand Maharishi through his teaching, and better comprehend the programs he brought to light from the Vedic tradition of knowledge.
For over 50 years Maharishi Mahesh Yogi travelled the world with a simple message: within each of us lies an infinite ocean of creativity, intelligence, and bliss. Maharishi emphasized that this vast reservoir of human potential is available to anyone who wants it, through the practice of his effortless, natural meditation—the Transcendental Meditation technique—which allows the awareness to settle deep within and access this limitless field of intelligence.
Maharishi was not satisfied, however, with merely providing individuals with the key to lasting fulfillment. He spent many years developing programs for every area of society, including education, health care, agriculture, and government. His goal was nothing short of world peace, unrestricted progress, and the unfoldment of the full potential of every citizen of every nation.
Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and His Gift to the World is a brilliant exposition of all of these programs and will be appreciated by both readers new to Maharishi's teachings as well as the most experienced practitioners of the Transcendental Meditation program.
