Maharishi School of the Age of Enlightenment in Fairfield, Iowa, USA, earned second place out of 27 schools in the 2017 Best Private High Schools in Iowa category from Niche.com.
Niche is an organization that "rigorously analyzes dozens of public data sets and millions of reviews to produce comprehensive rankings, report cards, and profiles for every K-12 school, college, and neighborhood in the U.S."

Results were based on a variety of factors including student to teacher ratio, composite SAT and ACT scores, quality of colleges that students consider, college enrollment percentages, racial and cultural diversity within each school, and surveys of students and parents. Data was sourced from the U.S. Department of Education, Niche users, and the schools directly.
